Our Story

In 2018, our Founder and CEO, Arafat Mir, was travelling from Islamabad to Lahore on a hazy morning to meet his ailing grandmother. The highway was engulfed in a thick blanket of toxic smog and by the time he managed to reach Lahore, his grandmother had lost her battle.

In the months that followed, three friends determined to make real and lasting change to overcome the smog crisis, came up with an idea to actively transform the world, to be a world with cleaner air to breathe. Having thought of multiple solutions and their pros and cons, the three agreed to create a solar-powered tower that uses state of the art technology to clean air.

Model H, Hive, is the first test of our technology and we know and realise that we have a long way to go to solve the public health emergency. Moving forward, Pak Fiza aims to target the root cause and reduce the impact of air pollution emitted by brick kilns by adding an extension to it that caters to solve the problem. Our work is complemented by advocacy as we believe that targeting the root cause requires raising awareness among the masses.
