About us

We aim to improve the health and well-being of millions of people affected by Pakistan’s

We are obsessively passionate about making the environment clean, green and sustainable. Not just for a moment, but forever. Not as a luxury, but as a fundamental human right.

We are Pak Fiza!

A group of Pakistani Alumni from international universities, and at our heart lies the dream of using innovation that allows people in Pakistan to permanently have cleaner air to breathe.
Sustainable Development Goals
Our Approach

Implementing SDGs as our tools
against air pollution!

We have begun our hard work to put the SDGs into action to overcome the environmental crisis of air pollution and smog. We aim to help governments and corporations at all levels to develop sustainable and environmentally responsible plans and policies that will enable us to have a lasting impact, and help Pakistan reach its goals.

Goal 3

Goal 3 focuses on good health and well-being for all — basic building block for people to achieve their potential in school, at work and at home. Every step we take at Pak Fiza to beating air pollution is a step towards achieving this goal.

Goal 11

Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities is crucial in our urbanizing world. Pak Fiza makes our cities smart, resilient and green, through urban planning, technology and citizen participation and can provide better air quality and transform the urban landscape.

Goal 13

Goal 13 tackles climate change. Many of the air pollutants that affect our health also warm the atmosphere. Pak Fiza, through its sustainable solution will take action to provide cleaner air, target and eliminate the root causes for air pollution, one at a time, and address the climate emergency.

We use creativity, innovation and knowledge
as cornerstones for change

The invention looks at filtering polluted air in order to get rid of particulates up to a size of 0.5 microns (micrometers). This is achieved by incorporating a filtration unit which gets rid of dust particles bigger than 5 microns. The semi clean air is then passed through a high voltage electric field where the sub 5 microns dust particles get ionised and develop a negative charge. This air is then passed through positively charged collector plates where the negatively charged dust/smog particulates are collected on the plates.

These plates are constantly vibrating which means that the dust particles are being collected on the base of the pipe from where they are extracted daily. Model H, Hive, is a 25 ft tall tower with a base of 12 ft.

Our Solution

We work with passion and

The tower is fully powered by solar energy making it a viable solution for an energy scarce country like Pakistan which will be independent of the national grid. The tower requires maintenance once a week in order to ensure the regular functioning of the system. The diameter of the pipe is 1.2 meters with a fan size of 25000 CFM flow rate. The total amount of air being filtered through the system per day would be equal to 35 million cubic feet.
In comparison to other prototypes across the world, this tower provides a very cost effective way of cleaning air and removing poisonous 2.5 micron particulate size which can cause permanent damage to the lungs.
The dust collected from the tower during maintenance would be used to make smog free pencils.

In action

Through our sustainable solution,
we aim to target the root causes
of air pollution

Our initiative is accompanied with a range of programmes, including awareness raising sessions with key stakeholders to training facilitators and supporting volunteers to take sustainable action. Some of our programmes are:

Pencils of Hope

The particles that are collected during the process are turned into smog pencils. The proceeds from the sale of these pencils help us in increasing awareness about air pollution among students.

Advocacy events

Hosting educative events. Including seminars, movie screenings and workshops, on the causes of air pollution, health risks associated with it, waste disposal, sustainable environment and our responsibility towards the environment.

Conducting online and offline campaigns and celebrate days like World Environment Day to mobilise the key stakeholders and the general public to action.
